With 4 active kiddos, our family is constantly on the go, which means it is easy for things to pile up. It has taken me years to finally realize that if I complete these 5 simple tasks each day, it helps tremendously! I feel like I have accomplished so much before lunch time.
I get myself ready (yoga pants & t-shirt count for some days, right)
When I go wake each kiddo up for school, if they hop right out of bed, I will make their bed for them. If not, it’s on them to make it.
When the kiddos come to breakfast, they know to bring their dirty clothes with them.
Before heading out the door to school, I do a quick clean up of breakfast, start the dishwasher and change the laundry over.
When I get back from dropping the kiddos off at school, I fold and put away a load of laundry and then unload the dishwasher.
Doing these 5 simple tasks each morning has become more of a habit, than a to do list and it helps set the tone for the rest of the day.
** If you work outside of the home these tasks could easily be switched to evening, after the kiddos go to bed.
