Halloween is over and now most people will jump right into decorating for Christmas. And believe me, I can’t wait to decorate our new home for Christmas! BUT, Since I love to decorate for every holiday, I let my faux pumpkins linger for a while longer and just sprinkle a few bits of thanksgiving around the house.
The easiest change out for me is my front door wreaths. I think wreaths set the tone for what guests should expect once they enter your home.
These colorful wreaths are from ETSY (I ♥ etsy!), once I saw them, I knew they would be a perfect fit on the new front door.
Since I like to incorporate the whole Thankfulness part of Thanksgiving, I purchased this adorable felt tree from Pottery Barn Kids a few years ago. I encourage each family member to add notes of things/people we are thankful for. This year I hung it on the wall behind our kitchen table, so that we see it everyday.
And lastly, what is Thanksgiving without a cornucopia? This one has been around for years and is a staple in my fall decor. I have used it as a centerpiece in the past, but this year in our new home, I think I’ll put it on the hearth.
Since we don’t host a Thanksgiving dinner at our home, I leave the table open in anticipation of setting it for Christmas dinner. Once the turkey has been eaten, you better believe I will be blaring the Christmas carols, stringing lights up and hanging the stockings. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
